Coastal Hospitality Management Co. (CHMC) was built on real, hands-on experience and more than a decade of operational growth. Our journey began in 2013 when Tony Tarr joined Coastal Hospitality Group, working the front lines at our first beach motel in San Clemente, CA. From housekeeping systems to front desk operations and guest relations, Tony learned the business from the ground up.

Shortly after, Tony was tasked with launching and implementing hotel operations for a 60 unit timeshare resort in Palm Springs, a challenge that accelerated his expertise in property management, customer service systems, and digital presence development. This early responsibility created a Phase 1 blueprint for efficient, repeatable operations across multiple locations.

From 2016 to 2020, CHG and CHMC expanded into Florida, acquiring three hotels, stabilizing operations, and positioning each property for long-term success under new and energetic management. This period of growth strengthened our reputation for elevating hotel performance and building consistent, efficient operations across diverse property types and market conditions.

Over the past 12 years, CHMC has managed day-to-day operations for 13 hotel properties across the United States, building our operational stack through real-world trial and error. By progressing through multiple phases of technology, processes, staffing models, and guest service systems, we have developed a proven blueprint that clearly identifies what works, what does not, and what creates long-term stability for boutique hotels and motels.

A key advantage of CHMC is our US based reservations center, which supports every property under our management. This allows on-site teams to remain focused on what matters most: property upkeep and exceptional guest experience.

Prior to deciding on a structure, each opportunity undergoes a thorough evaluation process that considers ownership’s goals for the property, as well as an underwriting exercise that is inclusive of financial and operational projections. At that point, a strategic path to success is built and implemented.
